Amy O. Duerk joined the firm in 2001 after practicing in San Francisco, California, with Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe. There she gained litigation training involving antitrust, product liability, insurance and financial institutions.

Ms. Duerk’s principal areas of practice with Phillips Law Firm include contract, personal injury, insurance law, business litigation, and products liability.

After completing both a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environment, and B.A. in History from the University of Michigan, Ms. Duerk graduated in 1998 from the University of Michigan School of Law. Earlier, she attended Carleton College, playing varsity soccer and spending a semester studying in Nepal. She also worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, researching energy efficiency technologies and acting as a liaison to Congress and agency leaders.

Ms. Duerk is a member of the American Bar Association, the Western Montana Bar Association, and the State Bars of Montana and California. She is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Montana and all State courts in California, and she has tried cases before the State courts in Montana.

Ms. Duerk also serves on the University of Montana Law School Board of Visitors. She appreciates time spent with her twin boys and husband, enjoying Montana outdoor activities such as skiing, backpacking, and kayaking.
