Michael W. De Witt joined the firm in February, 2011, after eight years of service with the Honorable Blair Jones of the 22nd Judicial District.

As Senior Law Clerk, he gained valuable and significant experience in research and analysis, legal writing, and drafting of opinions. Mr. De Witt earned a Bachelor of Arts, History, in 1991 from the California Polytechnic State University, with a minor in Electronics Engineering. He earned both his Master of Business Administration and J.D. from the University of Montana.

Mr. De Witt will practice in the areas of insurance defense, construction law, products liability, and business law. He is a member of the State Bar of Montana, Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and Pi Gamma Mu Academic Honor Society. He is admitted in all state and federal courts in Montana.

Community service and interests include cooking, outdoor recreation, and travel. Mr De Witt is a member of the Celtic Dragon Pipe Band, and Missoula Scottish Heritage Society.
