Mitch Vap joined the firm in 2007 as a law clerk while attending the University of Montana School of Law, and earned his J.D. in 2009.

Mr. Vap’s principal areas of practice include insurance defense, workers’ compensation, personal injury litigation, business law, and intellectual property licensing and litigation.

Mr. Vap was born and raised in Manchester, Iowa. He attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and played football. Mr. Vap then attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. Mr. Vap practiced as a physical therapist in a variety of clinical settings in Montana, Oregon, Washington, and California before beginning law school at the University of Montana in 2006. As a clinical intern, Mr. Vap assisted the University of Montana’s Office of Research and Development with the management and transfer of University intellectual property.

Mr. Vap is a member of the State Bar of Montana and Western Montana Bar Associations. He is licensed to practice in all State and Federal courts in Montana.

Mr. Vap enjoys spending time with his wife, working on home improvement projects, and playing golf. Mr. Vap appreciates and enjoys all of the wonderful outdoor activities Montana has to offer.
